Hello everyone!
As you can see the line up has really filled out over the last few days! I'm totally excited as I'm sure you are too! I'm re-sending out the information that I had sent previously and including Apache Cafe's owner Asa. Please review the information below, and let me know ASAP if there is a problem with where your at on the line up. Also, we have three more dance spaces, if you know anyone who would like to perform, please let me know before friday. See everyone on Sat!

This is an exciting time for Dalloua Dance and I! We're very very excited to be working with such great people! Amani has graciously accepted to help me to establish a Night in the Oasis in Atlanta! While in Sacramento, a Night in the Oasis was known as a fun and safe place for dancers to showcase their art of dance!. I'm looking forward to watching this tradition continue in Atlanta and hope everyone has a great time performing for their peers and audience. I'd like to ask each of you to please take a look at the information below and as a reminder to everyone, please be mindful of our space and of getting there on time so we can move at a good pace :) I love bringing this together for everyone and hope that we will be able to continue to have this event quarterly. Have a great day and lets have a great show!
What you need to know about Oasis:
When: Saturday, July 10th, 8:00pm - 11:30pm
Where: Apache Cafe: 64 3rd Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30308
General Stuff: Just because it has to be mentioned, I always want to remind dancers to be mindful of those around you, and remember that this is a family show/venue. I also want to encourage you to bring your family and friends and to please patron the café. They are kind enough to let us have the space for very little, and we keep the event at a low cost because of that fact.
When to arrive: I'd ask that you arrive as early as possible. I will have a list at the front door of the performers so they can be checked in as you walk in. Once you have walked in, I will need you to check in with our back stage mom, Shannon and turn in your music and fill out the bio for me so we can give that to our MC. I will be there at about 6pm, and the doors will open at 7pm for people to start checking in. We will start promptly at 8pm, and will go along with the line up as dictated below. It's very very helpful to everyone running the show to know that your here so we aren't looking for you before your time also, if your time passes then we will be forced to skip you and you may not get a chance to dance because of time constraints. (if we have time I will try to let you get in at the end of the 2nd break before the start of the end of the show.)
What to bring: You, yourself and your costumes and a short bio for our MC Amani :) ... we ask that you try to be as ready to go onto the stage upon arrival as possible because there is very little "changing" space, and only the only mirror is in the bathroom (unless I'm able to bring my tall portable one) and it's awkward, so please come prepared. There is a little sitting space for us, but I will have a back area sectioned off for us to store our space and I will have someone there to watch it so no one goes back there that is not authorized. However please be mindful of everything that is yours, I don't want something to accidentally go missing.
About the dance space: The dance space is small, so be prepared to have to arrange you and your group in a tiny space. I will be asking the owner to please leave a section in front of the stage area clear so that we can give some of our larger groups a little more room, but again it is still a small space. :) There is no audience behind you, and no curtain to come out from. There is a DJ area stage left and stage lighting above and forward of the stage area. (I'm not sure yet how the lighting will be worked out just yet)
I ask if you are going to be using a prop, to give any disclosure's on the prop (i.e. it's sharp please stay seated ect), as we always have to make sure remind the audience to be mindful of the dancer. So to help with that safety just let me know if you have a big burly sword or staff ect ect.
We want you to have a good time at our events so remember that this is for fun and to have a great time.
Below is the tentative line up for the night as you can see there are still some dance spots left. Please look at where I've placed you so far, let me know if there is a problem ASAP so I can make changes or if there needs to be corrections, dalloua@gmail.com or at 707-623-6959
